Oldies Yet Goldies – Our Students Choose Their Favorites

We asked the students in our new popular music class to ‘single out’ awesome popular songs that have withstood the test of time (at least 50 years old or so). One per student. They came up with a wonderfully varied selection of favorites from way back when. The only question is “Why these ones?”. Why Blackbird and not any of dozens of Beatles immortal hit tunes? Well, that’s what we have all semester to discuss.
