Willie The Water Molecule

Hi! I’m Willie the water molecule and I am going to be telling you about my adventure through the water cycle!

I started out in my home, the ocean, all by myself. Then one day, sunlight, or heat energy was added to the water and I evaporated into the clouds, turning into water vapor.

I stayed in the clouds for a little while, and I met other water vapor just like me!

After a while in the clouds, we all started to condense and turn into water droplets. We then fell out of the cloud! The other droplets told me this was called precipitation. 

We all fell back to the soil on earth. We landed on a hill, and gravity pulled us all down. It felt just like a water slide!

They all told me that we had become runoff, which is when gravity pulls water droplets just like us down a slanted surface!

We flowed all the way down the hill, back into the ocean, where I found my home again! And I could share my home in the ocean with all my new friends! I was so excited to go through the water cycle with them again!
